When I was little, I remember kids at school used to tease each other by saying that there clothes looked like they came from the KMart Blue Light Special. I would laugh, partly because alot of my clothes had been bought at KMart.

I remember many times when they would get over the loudspeaker and announce that there was a Blue light special somewhere in the store. It seemed magical shopping at KMart as a child, wandering all through the store looking at all of the toys for sale and wishing and wondering what it would be like if I had them. My mama used to say that she would see all of these things that were real cheap, and that she would say "Oh, i can get that!" and before she knew it, she had a shopping cart full and that it would be over a hundred dollars. That was many years ago, so adjusted for inflation, it would be more like $500 in today's money.

I remember how my mama would always get a 17-stick-pack Plentypak of BigRed Gum at the checkout, and she would always give me two sticks. I had many wonderful memories shopping at KMart.
