I went to purchase a Chrismas Tree. KMart.com had it for $44.00 but Kmart in store was selling the tree fore$49.00. I asked the cashier in the garden center do they honor their online prices and she said,"Oh I don't do that online stuff back here" So I had to go and stand in line at the front of the store. Finally when it was my turn to get checked out,the cashier said she didn't think so. I called back to the store spoje to a manager and he said they tell them not to honor it because they want people to buy ON LINE.. I BOUGHT INline at WALMART...LOL 5HAPPY SHOPPING!!!!

Kmart - Employee Grievance Program Review

Pain? Where do I begin. I almost walked out one night. People cuss as though it was a strip club not a store. My immediate Super does not recall alot of what I tell or advise her. I get unsolicitedly touched on ways that hurt, and startle me. No 2 days off. 3 occasions coworkers nearly made me cry. How much longer? If my hours do not lop off to half of what they are now I will have another failed job on my conscience. This company is all over proactivity with issues they could be sued or "arbitrated" over, but personally sustained miffs or inappropriate behavior by other workers, they're out. I work with some sweet people but others nearly heinous. When the store is hilted, swamped, no radios, no RMUs. Stressful? Not even the word. Employee and buyers cuss and wax alike. Once in the storeroom one gal actually joke gossiped with cronies. *** w***e-" So shocked. I dread going anywhere in that store, and trepidate some workers' moods. Stay out of the breakroom! So ugly, foul, third world.

I am disabled. I have to rely on a driver to help me run errands once a week. I called the store about an upright freezer while out. No one answered in the appliance dept. 1st call. Someone did 2nd time but had to repeat info 2 times (model number, type). Got to store to look at it. handicapped scooter, the only one for the store, was out of juice and stalled outside. High 90 degree weather. Using walker we went to the back of the store where appliance center is located, saw freezer, but no free delivery as was for on-line purchase. No knowledgeable salesman, just a person with a moving cart. He asked a manager my questions about delivery. I said I had misplaced my card. No mention of getting it looked up at the store. Called K-Mart for info about getting my card number and making on-line purchase. Woman took my order info for freezer, took 40 minutes, she was new I guess, then when it came time to charge it she told me she couldn't unless I had my card number. SUPER FRUSTRATION. She gave me the number for card replacement services. Finally was able to talk to someone who knew what I was talking about and not in training. I was told I could have gotten the card info at the store when I was there but no one had the knowledge to tell me this. I will get a replacement card in two working days and will be able to FINALLY make my purchase....I hope. As far as I am concerned, K-Mart is a loosing appendage to Sears. I have read other reviews and most voice the same as I do, even the employees!! I don't blame the employees as much as I do management dropping the ball and having such a substandard way of doing training and business. Understaffed, untrained, inarticulate. These words attribute to the management. To think, delivery charge if purchased in store is $65, and free on-line.

Preferred solution: I worked in retail for 10 years. Train and watch over your management sufficiently. Had I been going to order from store I would have walked out and you would have lost a $549.00 purchase just because you wanted to be cheap on knowledgeable staffing.

Please ignore the previous poster, he is a known troll here and just a a little kid. He is a high school dropout as well and not very intelligent.

I also suspect he has Asperger's, which makes him say things that a normal person would not. As to your complaint, you need to have lowered expectations when dealing with Kmart.

You are, after all, dealing with people who earn minimum wage and no benefits. It's a soul draining job and not one that pays their bills.

If you are too disabled to hold on to a card go to a group home and have a nurse take care of you. Everyone else would have to go through the same process as you did.

I have yet to find a Kmart with a professional or friendly management team. This is why they are going down the toilet & closing stores all over the country.

They all have poor customer service. At the Kmart near me in Clearwater Florida the employees & management are always busy gossiping and running their co-workers into the ground behind their backs, they don't have time for the customer.

Bad customer service with online shopping

I can not get any response from Kmart in regards to my online order. Kmart promise to call and send nice generated emails with offers of help. But they never get back to you. The telephone helpline has a long long wait line- an hours wait seems to be about average. I have tried Kmarts facebook page, they too offer help and say they are sorry, someone will get to me- they never do. The advert for kmart states the online service is 1-3 days- I am now into my 7th day waiting for my order or someone to say what the problem or issue is. The Kmart store is great, but the online service is just so bad.

at the registers... you need a receipt to return anything to 90% of stores.

Why do people mistake being told no as rude. There is a difference between being told no and being rude.

I have a feeling that you are mistaking being told no as getting rude treatment. If this is not the case I have a feeling tat you were being stubborn and immature and could not take no for an answer.

Also it is called a receipt not a ticket and basically most places in retail won't allow you to do an exchange or return without a receipt. Don't blame them for their policies, blame the crooks who took advantage of their policies when the were more lenient.

I went to Kmart on Carlisle in Albuquerque New Mexico. We print out coupons at coupons.com and always used them at any store no problem except this friggin store. I contacted coupons.com and they said as long as you use it once and there not expired. They also said that they dont print coupons that are not legit they can get sued. So my question is why is kmart making up there own rules about coupons. the clerk there said they dont do it cuz pp make copies. Well i found out from coupon.com that each coupon has a barcode and cannot be used twice. I talked to my lawyer and am persuing legal action. Great job Kmart in creating more lawsuits.

Pretty sure they have the coupo policy at the front of the store, as most Kmart stores do. Each company can choose whether or not to take certain types of coupons. Another company (coupons.com) cannot dictate another store's (Kmart) coupon policy

Exchange policy

I understand with Christmas season upon us and the fact that people steal and try to return items for cash is something Kmart has to try to combat to stay in business. However, I do not feel Exchanges are a threat. My husband bought me a set of P.J's and being a man he bought a 1x and that is not my size. Not asking for a refund jus something that fit. We are now out $30. Not a lot but enough that several times would be hurtful to a wages a family and stuck with useable products . My husband did not use our rewards card as he did not want me receiving an email saying thank you for your purchase or me receiving a copy. This purchase was a week ago and he can not find he receipt and because he used god old cash there is no proof of his purchase and they won't let me trade sizes. I don't want cash just something that fits. I understand the policy, but it needs some serious rethought.If I was seeking cash ok but I was not. If I stole it I would have stole it I would have stole my size. Very unhappy with policy and product that I am now stuck with.

I order an vanity set on line on December the 9th for 98.00 . I was suppose to recieve my item on the 14th however I did not today is the 19th and I still don't have the vanity or any info on the date I suppose to recieve it. I called customer service and was told that it's an outside vendor that the product is coming from and that my money was forward to this company . I was given an number to call which is a voice recording saying to send an email and they will respond in 48 hours which they have not . I then asked for a refund and was told I have to get my money from this other company and they're not offering any refunds till after Christmas. I have an problem with this seeing how I paid kmarts my money . I have no money to go and get this gift from another company . Thank you kmarts for ruining what was suppose to bea special gift

I purchased a Daisy BB Gun on 8/14/16 . I was told that if i purchase a service plan to cover my item for two years , that i would just bring it back to store and get a new one . I was told that if that item would be out of stock , i would receive a credit for my purchase price . Yesterday 10/16/16 i returned my defective item in the original box with my receipt and was told (after waiting in line for 15 minutes ) to go back and pick out a new one and return to the counter . When i returned to the service desk and again waited only to be told it was over 30 days and i would have to send it back after contacting the claim dept . I called the claims dept. and was on hold 20 minutes . I was then told i would have to box it up and go to a UPS and sent it back to be evaluated . Than they would a determination on a store credit . I called the home office and i was put on hold 1/2 hour , then i hung up !!! I have been a customer for years , and spent over two hundred dollars in the 30 days . I will never step a foot in another Kmart or Sears !!!!!!!!!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !!!!!!!!!

Trust me you won't be missed. If you are old enough to buy a gun, surely you are able to read.

The store return policy is 30 days, but after that you have to take it up with the supplier. Your inability to read and understand simple English does not make them liars.

The absolutely worst customer service I have ever received in my life! all I wanted were these umbrellas that clamped to my beach chair....sigh.... I ordered two and they sent the wrong umbrellas. I called customer service and got some foreign outsourced place that with customer service reps that could hardly speak english and was told that they could not "exchange" them. I had to send them back using their return label via UPS and when they received the return I would be credited the money and then I needed to reorder on the website. I was in a hurry because I wanted them for a beach trip so I returned them and immediately reordered....and guess what...yes...you got it...they sent me the wrong umbrellas again. Obviously their website was wrong or their warehouse code was wrong....or something...so I then was told that I needed to go through the same process a second time...wait for their label, package it up and return them via UPS...and no, no one their could help me get the umbrella I desired. So I sent the second set back and because I still did not get refunded for the first set of umbrellas called customer service to inquire. They had no record of the first set of umbrellas being returned so I had to spend almost an hour on the phone with a supervisor correcting that. Now today of course 7 weeks after sending the second set back I have still not gotten my refund so I called...and guess what...you guessed it, of course they don't have any record of this return either. They then proceeded to request the return label number from the email they sent me way back in the beginning of August which I still had but the label was a link that no longer worked and the customer service rep could not helo me so now I am waiting for a problem resolution person to get back to me. As I said...NEVER NEVER NEVER ORDER FROM KMART ONLINE! No matter how tempting the price of the item is, the problems you encounter will cost you way more in time. I have spent at least two hours on the phone over this and have made two trips to UPS and I am not done yet.....it is no wonder they are going out of business.

Obvious Kmart product, no receipt, no refund or store gift card

I needed to return two pairs of shoes I had purchased a few days earlier. The shoes were in the boxes, one with tags still attached, the other with the tags in the box. I thought I had the receipt in the bag but it was only all the coupons the register prints. I was told I needed to find my receipt for refund or exchange. It's 25 miles from my house to Kmart. I found the receipt and went back the next time I was in Columbus, GA and got a refund. I will not ever knowingly go into another Kmart, Sears or other affiliated store because of this. The clerk was polite on both occasions but the return policy stinks.

In this case it was not bring your receipt with you.

He has been working their for more than ten years operating with a gang mentality this dude is the creepiest *** you ever want to meet he comes to work high everyday. He needs to be fired ASAP. Kmart - Customer Care Review

Kmart, you are the worst and I will never shop at Kmart. I placed an order online and got email for pickup. I went to the store and found out they substitute my items with something else. When I asked why, I was told they run out. But why couldn't you notify me? That's not the end, I was told the other store has it, so I returned this order and placed at the other store at manhattan. Guess what? When I went to the second store next day, exact same thing happened, only I have wasted an whole hour waiting for my order and found out it's wrong!!! I had missed 4 trains to get home with nothing. And I am not the only one there! What's the promise of under 5 minutes for picking up the order if u can't do it? Why substitute without notifying me? And why do I have to go to a different line to return the order that Kmart got it wrong? Kmart, u can go bankrupt and ***!!!

Ever thought that perhaps at the time of calling they had the item in stock and it was sold out by the time you got there? No you have not because that would require using your brain.

Most likely this was the case.

After all it is two weeks till Christmas. So he should be fired because the item sold out while you made a trip to the store?
